11.     Bishop Edward Dargin Dies at 82;

The Most Rev. Edward Vincent Dargin, retired Auxiliary Bishop and former vicar general of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York and pastor emeritus of the Church of St. Gregory the Great in Harrison, N.Y., died Monday at the Mary Manning Walsh Home in Manhattan. He was 82 years old.

Bishop Dargin was ordained in 1922. He was named pastor of St. Gregory's in 1951 and retired in 1973. He is survived by a niece, Jane Farley. A mass will be offered at the Walsh home at 7 P.M. today by Archbishop John J. Maguire. Terence Cardinal Cooke will be the principal celebrant at a mass of Christian burial in St. Patrick's Cathedral at noon tomorrow. Burial will be at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Port Chester, N.Y.
