This txt-file contains information about the development of Worlds, By Sadism.

* V 0.01 Beta
- You can fly around a green circle (a planet), and "land" on it.

* V 0.02 Beta
- Various updates to the controls.
- Added another (bigger) planet.
- Did some gravity-changes. Planets gravitational effect now decrease with distance.
- Change the resolution to 1024*768 32 bit. I did this to hide some of the flaws in the ship, when it's rotating. It also improved the overall look of the game, as an unexpected(?) bonus!

* V 0.03 Beta
- Added a couple of planets and modified some other ones.
- Things are now placed randomly on planets: Pine trees, medium residential buildings, control towers, landing platforms and landing lights in different colors are all the things for now.
- Changed the standard ship to a red one, just for fun.
- The size of a planet now affects its gravitational effect. Bigger planet = higher gravity.
- Optimized a lot of code.
- Added flashing alpha-blended lights.
- A dense universe of 20 planets is now randomly created at the beginning of the game.
- Planets have starports in varying sizes depending on how many things there are on the planet.

* V 0.04 Beta
- There are now six different types (sizes) of planets.
- Added some background stars... When you go really fast, they strecth out and become lines!
- Added a temporary map.
- Increased the universe size quite a bit.
- Changed the landing platforms to just another flashing light.
- KNOWN BUGS: Sometimes you can make the ship vibrate if you are on a planet and you try to rotate the ship. Sometimes things on planets vibrate when you are on a planet.

* V 0.05 Beta
- Added a speed indicator, and a hull indicator.
- Nailed the two "vibration-bugs" from V 0.04 Beta.
- You can now crash on planets:
  If you land too much off-angle you'll die... (Too much is approximately 14 degrees)
  If you land with more than 10 km/s you'll take damage.
- When the hull reaches zero percent you die, and you'll have to restart the game.
- Changed the font to "Terminal" - You should have this font if you are using Windows 98 or above. (Anyway all the text-stuff is just temporary)
- I've been having some problems with the explosions going on forever. Please report if you experience this. (I think I've fixed it)
- The explosions are temporary, and I know it makes the game slow down, and that it looks ugly...
- Planets are no longer so close that stuff screws up.
- Added a nice message-thing in the bottom of the screen.
- Added planet names (i just took the code from Desolation).

* V 0.06 Beta
- Decreased the size of buildings and trees to 75% of their original size... It looks nicer, because the planets seem bigger, that way.
- Added some new things: 3 kinds of rocks, small housing, radars, vitamin factories, mineral processing plants, marmalade factories, furniture factories, weapon factories, water towers, ship factories, robot factories, barracks, castles, power plants and fruit trees.
- Sometimes a message will appear to annoy you, if you crash on a planet, or fail a landing.
- KNOWN BUG: It is VERY hard to land on the very left of a planet (180 degrees), but it can be done.
- Objects on planets can no longer appear directly on top of another object.
- Added flags to planets. Every planet now has a flag indicating who it is owned by. There is 5 different kinds of flags.
- Added 5 bigger planets, and one huge planet (it's kinda rare and it won't fit on screen!). This brings the total number of different planets up to 12.
- Added support for very big planets.
- Modified the code for creating random planets so that spaceports vary in size, and other planetary objects can appear closer to them than before.
- A manual is now included in the package along with the font: "Terminal", which is required for the game to run properly. Updates to the manual will be noted in this document.
- Changed the star-background so that stars no longer crop up in one side of the screen.
- When you land on a planet an info-screen pops up with information on the planet you are on: the planets name, who owns it, and the size of the population, plus a small picture of the planet.
- When you land on a planet your ship no longer jerks to one side. (This was especially noticeable on the new huge planet)
- From this version and on Worlds will be available in two different versions: An 8 bit version and a 32 bit version. The difference between the two versions is that the 8 bit version doesn't have any alpha-blending (transparent explosions and flashing lights) and that it is generally uglier than the 32 bit version. Also I would like to note that the 32 bit version runs faster on my system than the 8 bit version. Those are the only differences. You should experiment with the two different version to see what runs better. Please tell me about your experiences on my e-mail: ibber_of_sadism@hotmail.com
