Album Review: "Year Of The Spider" (2003) - Date Unknown
From: InDepthZine.com

Cold returns to rock their fans again with their 3rd album "Year Of The Spider". The album title alone is a statement for what fans, listeners, and all are in for when they listen to the beats. Although Cold's first 2 albums ( COLD, 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage) were impressive, is seems as if this album shows the true talent of the band COLD, and since the spider appears to be the logo for the band, it seems absolutely appropriate that the name of this album be called "Year Of The Spider" . On this album, Scooter reaches deep into his own mind and soul to portray some of his own trials and tribulations. You can feel the distress through his heartfelt, shocking, melancholy vocals and lyrics. With the addition of Terry, guitarist (also on Cold's 2nd album;13 Ways To Bleed On Stage) mixed with Kelly's guitar techniques mingled with Sam and Jeremy's rhythm, the sound of COLD has become more sincere and constricting than ever before. "Stupid Girl" was the first hit single from this album, which opened a window to "Year Of The Spider" but is the most humble song on the record. If you look at the song names, you will get a better perspective of what the whole compilation has to offer.
