When we departed this Quakers Hill residence on 1st September; 2006. The front and back lawns were green, two small dog runs were apparent. One by the side of the carport down to the side fence and the other was next to the heater on the side of the unit. They were the only two areas that we were told that we would be billed for. The quote we have received is $350.00! On the 16th December; 2006. We visited the unit to see what we have been billed for and were totally shocked at what we found. Firstly, the side gate to the property had been left open. Secondly, empty cool drink bottles and paper were visible on the premises and thirdly and so gut wrenching is what we saw before our very eyes. Where was the back yard that we had worked so hard at bringing up to a good standard and had spent many dollars in fertilizers etc? Our neighbours had always commented on how lovely we kept the gardens etc. THEN to our astonishment, we saw that maintenance had laid strips of buffalo along and under the trees, where lawn will not grow, no good soil had been placed under it, no watering. Lemons left to rot that had fallen from the neighbours tree. See for yourself, what a total mess our once beautiful yard has now been made to look like. We spoke to a neighbour who informed us that DHA maintenance never come in to water and let the places go to pot, coming back in 'just before' new tenants arrived! We WILL be taking this matter further.
