We use a Bobsleigh, or a Wagonette depending on the season of your ride. The Bobsleigh has 3 rows of seats to fit 6 comfortably, and the Wagonette has a rear entry with the seats facing each other and can also fit 6 comfortably in it. Thre is usually room for one more passenger in the front with me, or 2 children. We have a single horse cart also, and a ride in that is a real adventure! The costs vary depending on which vehicle, how long, and where the ride takes place. Wedding Packages start at $350.00 for the first hour, Group parties start at $250.00, but if you come to our farm, those prices are reduced since we don't have to haul it all out somewhere. Additional hours are $50. each. We have special affordable rates for just a sweetheart couple, or a single rider looking for an hour or a whole day of fun.
Our vehicles are all pulled by our single Norwegian Fjord horse, Reterra Viggo. He was born in 2001, trained as a 3 yr old and has been used for three years before beginning his career with you. He has been shown as well as had countless miles on the highway to teach him to be as safe as possibe. He is still a horse however, and no horse is perfect. We will ask that you stay seated in the vehicle with no 'horsing around', no alcoholic beverages are allowed on board. We want you to enjoy a fun, family activity with us! We would rather stay in a rural setting, and not go into the cities areas if at all possible. We are located north of Minneapolis, about 45 miles and are easy to get to. Come on out and enjoy a day in the country, where things slow down a bit and the sights, sounds and smells are fresh and clean! We will take you past calm lakes, farm fields and gravel roads. Unless you want a faster, more adventursome ride, for that we have to go one on one in the cart (me & 1 passenger) where we can go a bit further into the woods, perhaps a forestry area with dirt trails, sandy hills, and a younger, faster horse! Naboo loves to go out, and she can really take us for a ride!
Ever try camping with horses? We do. You can ask about a weekend outing to a local state park or forestry, we do not rent the horses out for riding but we will bring the cart or wagonette and drive the trails. There are several areas that can be used for driving and camping, with horse camps all set up for overnight accomodations (tent, motorhomes, etc) that are local. I love to camp, and would be willing to bring along a passenger or two for an outdoor weekend experience you won't soon forget! But those weekends are few and far between, when we have the time! It's a great family activity also, so kids are welcome to come along.
