North came about from a great opportunity offer by Rosewood. A few of her horses were leased before she left and I had leased about 4 of them. Part of the deal was a foal from a mare that I leased and I was very impressed with the palomino Hessen mare Northwoods. I took this great chance to cross her with Caitlin's great Westfalen stallion Norwalk II. I had always loved Norwalk II so I couldn't wait for this great foal to be born. It was a great day when North made her appearence. She has the blood, a nice temperment, correct looks, and came out with color and chrome. She has a large star and snip plus three socks (right fore and both hinds) and a cornet on the left fore. Watching her grow up was another exciting journey as she proved that she had the makings of a dressage horse. North made her way up the levels and now does Fourth Level and training at around Prix St Georges. In 2003 she produce a smokey black colt by from a Warmblood approved Arab stallion Nazahah. We may breed her this next year or may just put it off to let her have some more fun in the dressage arena.
