About Us
Saddle the Wind sits on four acres in Central Minnesota.

We first started out in dogs in 1986 with a Shetland Sheepdog named Bonnie.

Later we acquired a Cairn Terrier named Boomer.

Both Bonnie and Boomer became our obedience competition dogs and later we branched out to herding trials and earthdog trials.

It was during these years that we became acquainted with the Borzoi.  After much research, conversations with many Borzoi breeders, and watching the Borzoi both in and out of the show ring, we knew that this was our breed forever.

We are members of the Borzoi Club of America, Midwest Borzoi Club, and the Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club.

Our Borzoi are members of our family; lounging on couches, chairs, and taking up premium bed space.

Home
Northeast barns and 1 dog run. Winter 2006-2007. It wasn't too bad this year on this side of the property. We to add two feet on the other side on top of the existing fencing because of ice and snow drifts.
Southeast side of the property. The trees are beautiful in the winter and provide lots of shade in the summer.
Part of the southwest side of the property. The pines and trees keep a lot of the southern winds from hitting the house directly.
