| THE OWL AND THE GRASSHOPPER | ||||||||||
| An owl was dozing in a hollow trunk of a tree. He was getting disturbed by a grasshopper which was singing loudly in a grass below. The owl politely asked him to be quiet or go away somewhere else. The grasshopper laughed and called him an ugly bird who remained awake during the night when all people go to sleep. The grasshopper began to sing even louder just to annoy the owl. The owl waited for a short while and then cunningly addressed the grassshoper. 'My dear, it isn't bad at all to remain awake due to such a beautiful voice as that of yours, you make sweetest music I have ever listened "However, he continued my wife gave me bottle of most delicious nectar, why don't you come up and have a drop or two ? It taste wonderful, and will sweeten your voice all the more" The silly grasshopper was so fattered the he guickly reached hopping up to owl. Who swiftly killed him and went on dozing in complete comfort. | ||||||||||
