Characteristics and applications of atmospheric radio noise data and man-made radio noise (Recommendation ITU-R PI.372)

	-	developed at NTIA, Boulder, Colorado, USA

	-	MS-DOS format

	-	based on Recommendation ITU-R PI.372

Programs NOIS1 and NOIS2 give values of atmospheric noise, man-made noise and galactic noise from Recommendation ITU-R PI.372. The only difference between the two programs is the style of the output which, in both cases, is directed to a file NOISE.LST.

Program NOISBW provides all the parameters relating to atmospheric noise, including Vd and sVD. The output is directed to a file NOISBW.OUT.

To run the program, type NOIS1, NOIS2 or NOISBW. The programs are menu-driven with input parameters separated by commas or "ENTER". An error on input causes immediate termination of the program or a subsequent run-time error; it is then necessary to start again.
