Antiti-heros-"Underneath The Underground"
GMM records

Whats this? an Oi album that sings about more
than beer and doesnt mind singing about things
that could be considered political? Neat, album
number 3 makes you remember why you
bought the first two records. Try tracks 7,
1, 6, and 12, 13. Oh hell just try the whole
fuckin album...you cant lose. Angry pissed off
Vocals, good leads, fast, fast.... Rad. I give
it the thumbs up.

Dropkick Murphys- "The Gang's all Here"
Hellcat records

It took me a while to get used to Al Barr and the mick
combo, but after the initial shock left I was pretty
Impressed, Al Barr really came through for us all.
if you like the bruisers your gonna love this.

Blood for blood-"Living' in Exile"
Victory records

Im a die-hard blood for blood fan so I might be a little
Biased in this but Holy shit fuck these guys are unstoppable. This is what puts a smile on my face when I go to the record store. Great breakdowns, and with lyrics like "gotta find something to ease my mind in this world of shit" you just can't go wrong. my only complaint is that its to short even with the bonus track-nice cover by the way- "ace of spades" . 7 songs.... way too short damnit I know its an EP, but I want
more.

V/a Tribute to The Smiths- "The world still wont listen
Too dam hype records

Anal Cunt,H20, and The Business all covering songs from the band most tough punk rawkers are ashamed to say they like. what more do you have to say oh wait before I get to far into this stop your tape after The Business and youll be better for it. Brilliant covers that make Morrisey's effeminate vocals tougher than 2 week old dog poo if your an in the closet fan of the smiths  buy this album and maybe just maybe your friends wont make fun  of you any more for listing to that girly man music. Theyll probably still bag on you anyway though.

All out war-"For those who were Crucified"
Victory records

I love these guys intense double bass, good riffs, bitchslappinvocals. metal that reminds me of...I mean hardcore that reminds me of cold as life but without the chills.... these guys could go "all out" ha ha if you have alove for that slice o metal in you HxC buy this album.

V/a motorhead tribute-"Built for Speed"
Victory records

Blood for blood, dropkicks, skarhead...shit  you do the math. Ive never been a big zeke  fan but hey not to shabby job on "ill be your sister" fellas... theres a few lame tracks but you get that on every tribute album i've ever came across Ive actually never  been that big of a motorhead fan but even  I had to grab this one...good effort... "Built for speed" (snicker)

Sworn Vengeance-abandon
Westcoast worldwide

These guys are lots of fun. Good solid HxC, for the low,
Low, price of 11 bucks woohoo.  You just gotta love a band that  Has vocals that somehow make the words rage, pain, Hate, and decay all sound exactly the same. I guess I just have a special place for hardcore bands that might as well be metal. Anyway its a dope CD to buy plus theyre hailing from good ol Sacto so that alone is reason enough to buy it.

The Trouble-Nobody laughs Anymore
GMM records

God damnit. This pisses me off, an AMAZING Oi album
Great tracks, musically and lyrically they even do a fuckin
Cover of Joy divisions insight and guess what they fuckin do? Break up. That just fuckin figures. Anyway, I would list some Tracks for you to listen to but they are all pretty dope. These Guys would definitely win the Pepsi challenge.

Youthful Offenders Domination
Vulture rock

Ok, these guys kick mucho ass. I especially dig
Thugs not Drugs damn good effort on this album.

V/A  Pure Punk
Cyclone Records

I think I bought this for like 5 bucks whatta bargain. Lots Of big names like the Ducky boys, Bruisers, The Randumbs, Guttersnipe gets some glory for pride & dignity nice track. Overall Id have to give this a thumbs up.

Billyclub Serve Loud
Coldfront Records

Wow these guys sure are familiar with the use of cymbals. Not too bad thoughI kinda dig it. Little too much weird guitar shit for me though. Track 7 is pretty tight
If youre into rock n rolly punk rawk go buy this. remember catching these guys live at some ass show, they were pretty tight live but thats about all I can remember.

Electric Frankenstein Im not your (nothing)
Victory Records

Supposedly I saw this band, I cant remember though. Although from this short 3 song freebie CD I guess I should have stayed away from the bar that time. Not  to bad punk stuff little bit too poppy and theres a few goofy riffs but overall not to bad.  I like the tubes cover.
The Forgotten-Veni Vidi Vici
TKO Records

Wont stay long is a tight little punk song. I have to say I do dig these guys Its basically pretty tight, you can tell they spend a lot of  time drinking shitty beer though. It all flows pretty well though. Lots of whooooahs and gritty punk rock vocals. Sounds like there screaming cheap trick over and over on one of their tracks that cracked me up for a good 15 minutes.  Good sing along crap for the car.

The Randumbs-In search of the abominable Sonoman
TKO Records

I think by the third track I knew I was going to give this CD a rad review. These guys are Fucking great. If you havent seen them, drop the nasty ice take a shower and go catch these guys. I need a beer is a lyrical masterpiece. That track is a piccaso in a world of alien smoking pot velvet posters. This album rocks. Its quickly becoming a contender in my stereo at home.

The Truents-Everyday of the week
TKO Records

Im kind of surprised that I never heard of these guys before. Nice little street punk band. I guess that would be my only complaint is that they can get a little typical, but overall theyre pretty nice.

The Beltones-On Deaf Ears
TKO Records

These guys rock live, I saw them at the purple onion I think last year or so. They have some pretty gritty vocals, which is always good especially when itts not so gritty that I can understand the lyrics. Musically pretty tight.

Reducers S.F. backing the longshot
TKO Records

First off I have to admit I do find this stuff catchy despite a
few flaws. They seem to have this thing for using the same
leads over and over so it seems like your listening to one
continuous song over and over. also the Vocals seem a little to poppy  for me but I like em regardless. I Caught these Guys live
one time when they played with  the Authority, I think I
prefer these guys live.  Seems like its geared for the sing-along
crowd. Cute.

Youth Defense League-American History Live from CBGBs 1987-1988)
Vulture Rock

What to say about this album. Deffinatly a favorite
In my collection. Very nice addition. Go buy this, you
Cant go wrong.

The Authority-On Glorys side
Outsider Records

Despite the goofy picture on the back of the album, This album Fucking rocks out with its cock out I saw these cats once at the Press club here in sacto and I was a little disapointed that they didnt draw that big of a crowd except for the usual skinhead
Attendence because these guys deserve it. This is a tight album. I dont really care for the guns of navarone cover though.

Lower Class Brats- Rather be hated than Ignored
GMM Records

Ok, before I even go into this review I got to say I remember the
First time I saw these cats live. They put on a great fucking show.
Lots of energy all around. Since that first faithful time I saw them my attidude towards there live performance has never waivered . These guys are great live. So I picked up there cd and I have to say it does have a special place in my heart, at time it can seem a little silly with the organ and whatnot but still well worth the listen. Side note the song itself  might be a little obvious but the track ultraviolence oh yeah, who writes your rules is fucking rad in my opinion  pretty damn tight. Good ol oi oi music with a heavy punk influnce. I liked it so much I put a seven inch of theirs on ordernuff said.

Rice-Fuck you this is rice
Lookout Records

Ok, So this album  may- be a tad old to review fuck it. Go buy this shit. My good friend Spanky Turned me on to this band a while
back, so I ordered it. 17 total tracks all tight HxC style music, but heres the kicker every song is dedicated to rice. FUCKING HILARIOUS. Grand songs like Grain of strength, all steamed up,  stick together and so on. Not just some weird collectors novelty album, oh no. Musically tight also. Go buy this shit Beeeyoutch!

BeerZone-They came,they saw, they conquered
TKO Records

Holy shit I dig these guys. Finally something different from the usual  tired same sounding bands. These guys are hilarious. I saw em live with uhBlood for Blood and Dropkicks, They didnt get near the crowd response that they deservedmost likely because no one heard of them but FUCK. They do a neat cover of ace of spades in I guess what's a secret track .

Oxymoron WestWorld
Cyclone Records

Another good effort by these guyswow they even use oh so complex sampling in their first track.

The Ducky Boys  Live: from the banks of the river charles
Outsider records

Ok, Im now convienced that these guys should never do another studio album EVER again. These guys are 500% better live. And this EP shows it in full. Im always a wee bit disapointed in there studio albums compared to there live sound, but fuck it thats life. This is a damn good cd. These guys are so fucking rock and rollyits crazyThere is also a cover of the wanderer song.  (I.e. im da type o guylalala) Oh the cult classic  movies connection broadens that much more.

The Wretched Ones  We dont belong to Nobody
Headache Records

Not their best release, but still pretty good. Check out tracks 1, 2, 8, and 13. Gritty vocals, Sometimes a little too much.

Moloko men drunk and poor
Vulture rock

I got to say I truly dug this album.  Ive heard some people complain that their a little bland every day oi, but I love it. Check out clockwork ultra Violence and boys of the boot.

Youthful Offenders Domination
Vulture rock

Ok, these guys kick mucho ass. I especially dig
Thugs not Drugs . Damn good effort on this album.
