Hellcat recording artists The Transplants recently recorded 2 videos in one weekend in Los Angeles. From the hellcat website: "The band just shot 2 videos for Diamonds and Guns and DJ DJ. There was a great turnout of bands and friends at the shoot from Pressure Point to Tiger Army to the Forgotten, The Distillers,Zombie Wrecking Crew, Toby from H2O, and Chad from NFG, all hanging out...I'm sure I left someone out. Damn. Be on the lookout for these videos very soon!". Well.. a representitive from Sactomatic was there and reports that other bands in the house included Suburban Threat, Whiskey Rebels and the Nor Cal Roustabouts. Also seen were members of Strife, Pistol Grip, and more. Pop singer Pink briefly showed up with her boyfriend then took off, cuasing quite a stir. She was not in the video. We are not at liberty to say what is in the video, but shooting lasted until 5 in the morning! In other Transplants news, they will be going on tour with the Foo Fighters. The title is the "Piss and Vinegar EP" you can get that shit from either bands website. Dropkick Murphy's new studio album will be out on June 10th. The album will be called Blackout and supposedly will be a little harder this time around. From what I've heard the St. Patricks day weekend shows (at least the first day) have sold out. In related news, Mike McColgan, the former singer for the Dropkicks, has a new band called Street Dogs. They have been recieving an unbelievable amount of Hype. Anyways, Ken Casey will be producing this joint so check it out. Also, the Street dogs had cereal and juice for breakfast this morning rather than their usual grand slam breakfasts at Denny's. Oh AND Mike was on the Cover of a Punk magazine called "Fat City", lookin' good in his Fireman clothes. Nice! Interference records just put out a split cd with Last Target from Japan and The Boils from Philidelphi called "Nobility and Nihilism". It kicks ass. Available online at the labels website.
