Freya

Scandinavian

She was the mistress of all the Gods, as well as the ruler of death and leader of the Valkyries. The sixth day of our week is named for her. Freya was known as a form of the "large-wombed earth" or as a heavenly matron.

She appeared to her followers as the most beautiful of Goddesses, wearing a feathered cloak over her amber necklace. She rode through the sky in a chariot drawn by cats.

Freya was the Goddess of magick who brought sorcery to the people of the earth. Her name means mistress and she took all the Gods as her lovers. However She did have a husband Odr, with whom She had a daughter, Hanossa (Jewel.) When Odr left to wander the earth Freya cried tears of Amber. She soon followed him assuming various names; Mardol, Horn, Syr, Gefn.
