Nanshe was a water Goddess. She was the wise Goddesss who interpreted dreams and omens. Each new years day She served as judge of each persons activities of the previous year. She was honoured each year with a floatilla of boats sailing on her canals. At the city of Lagash the boats were joined by a sacred barge bearing Her image.
