Merry Meet
My full magickal name is Amber Ogin Sen. It took a long time for this name and i to find each other. Amber is self explanatory. Ogin is Cherokee for rose and Sen is Chinese for forest spirit. As i am most at home and feel most spiritual in the forest, i knew it was right for me. i have also been known as t'air (and Willow on occasion.)

About me.......hmmm....For many years i worked in nursing but an illness ended that. i still miss it, but life goes on. i discovered My Path over two years ago. However, i think it and the Goddess were always there it just took me a while to really find my way. i feel it is also at least in part Genetic. i have Celtic (Irish and Scottish) as well as Cherokee ancestry. i am an Aries and was born on a Wednesday in the Chinese year of the Dog. My colours are green and purple. i am an animal person plain and simple. My fondest and most vivid memories usually involve animals (both wild and tame.) i work with several spirit animals. Some that were sent to me as helpers and some i just discovered or was drawn to. A new favorite book (next to Marion Green's, A Witch Alone) is 'Animal Magick' by D.J. Conway.
My patron Goddesses are Quan Yin and Bhrighite. i felt drawn to each for their ideals and lessons. Quan Yin as a compassionate and peaceful Goddess and Bhrighite as a survivor.
In recent years i have gone back to writing. This is something i have done since i was a child. However, i went through an extended dry period on the creative front. Most of what i write is poetry, and until recently most of it was dark. However, due to a recent life changing experience, my poetry and my outlook on life have changed. i now appreciate the little things and celebrate just being alive. i also do handicrafts, cross stitch, quilting and the like. i have tried to learn to knit, but it didn't work well (LOL.)
i am still studying and learning. The book that really awoke my Wiccan soul was Marion Green's 'A Witch Alone', she is very practical and down to earth and that really appealed to me. Two of my favorite subjects are Goddesses and Spirit Animals. i have three mortal cats at the present. Pennessewassee, my favorite, shhh........ don't tell her brother and sister, it is she who is my familiar. Then there is Damariscotta, who is the prettiest (most spoiled) little 'princess' in the whole world, and Penobscot, a very large lap full of snuggles.
Lately, i have been trying to work with Chakra meditation as a calming influence in my life. For some reason it is very hard for me to settle down and do it. i am also going back to school in the fall (whimper) i am not sure what i am going to study yet. One hurdle at a time.
