Feb. 14th Completed. Title: Tiger Lilies Tiger lilies run through my head As I try to stem the slumber, Amidst these fields of pleasure, I find myself wide awake in my bed. The field flows beneath the wind A rippling pond of gold-leafed splendor, Undisturbed though stirring always With poise and purpose undetermined. Sleeping sound though resting never, Thoughts flowing o’er the golden Flecked petals, dancing with them Thus now, with luck, forever. Patches of blue sky open and close As these small tigers play catch With the wind; Watching the white Clouds, upward always their pose. Tiger lilies run through my head As I rest here in easy slumber Aware only of the gentle touch, their whisker, Looking skyward from this soft bed.
