Each year, Houston Hai Hwa sponsored by the Taiwan's Hai Hwa Culture and Education Foundation will give out scholarships to the outstanding Chinese American youth in the Southwest Region of the United States for their effort in learning Chinese. In addition, a contest on the proficiency of Chinese language in different levels based on the books published by the Chinese Overseas Commission will also be staged by the Houston Hai Hwa.
This session will highlight the activities by Houston Hai Hwa and how the Chinese American youths in the area of San Antonio can benefit from the Hai Hwa programs.
