Magnetostrictive Measurement of Corrosion in Reinforced ConcreteDr. Yichi Lu 陸以馳 博士
摘要: This talk describes the results of an experimental investigation into the feasibility of using magnetostrictive sensor (MsS) to detect and quantify corrosion on steel strands and rebars in reinforced concrete. Corrosion was introduced into the reinforced concrete by first corroding the bare strands and rebars in a soil bed, and then using these corroded strands and rebars to make reinforced concrete specimens. MsS coils were installed on the embedded strands and rebars to generated and receive elastic waves. Due to extremely severe attenuation, the total amount of ultrasonic energy transmitted along the strands and rebars, instead of the amplitudes of the time-domain signals, was used to determine the attenuation coefficient. The ability of the MsS technique to determine the degree of corrosion in reinforced concrete via the ultrasonic attenuation measurement will discussed.
