摘要:
Upper layer networking protocols, e.g. TCP/IP suite, provides the application user interface for applications and its users to communicate with remote systems withour having to be bogged down by details of the underlining networking media/technologies. With proliferation of Internet connectivity, web-based (and Internet-based) applications, such as e-commerce, and etc. are the trend in today's networked computing environments. Java and its environments promised the paradigm of "write-once, run everywhere" for developers/end users to take better advantage of the networked world. The upper-lever communication protocols and applications for network computing will also be briefed in this presentation.
簡歷: Dr. Chen joined IBM in 1990 and involved in the R&D of computer server and its I/O subsystems. His background includes RISC processor architecture, system I/O architecture and structure, networking subsystem implementation, performance modeling and analysis, Java and its environments. Dr. Chen holds a Ph.D. degree from the State Univ. of New York at Buffalo. |
