Site Submission Guidelines

Take a deep breath and get ready.

This submission form is very tricky mind you. But we'll walk you thru it. Open up two windows if necessary. But for you experts who are here for editing or adding on entries, just open up a blank text document or an e-mail and type away.

Cosplay Name: This is what you will be referred to by on the front page. People in the cosplayer circles will refer to you by -this- name. Please try to be original, as common things are indeed common and will be taken up already. Such as it is, you cannot take a name that is already registered here at SA Cosplay.

Real Name: Only if you are prepared for utter strangers to call you by your real name. If you are hesitant in any way, don't fill this one out. But if you are comfortable with it, or it's part of your Cosplay Name. By all means.

True E-mail: We need this so we can return your E-mail should you request a reply. We will not distribute this E-mail address to any second parties. It will remain confidential with us.

Public E-mail: If you would like people who visit this page to be able to contact you, this is where you would leave an E-mail address for them to contact. Be forewarned. When you put your E-mail here, -anyone- can E-mail you. SA Cosplay is not responsible for weirdos E-mailing you.

Homepage: If you have one, list it here, so people can go to your page if they want more detail on your cosplay and costumes!

Location: We all like to know what part of America you're from, you can make it as specific as the city, or as vague as "America".

Introduction: Don't you want the nice people to know a little bit about you? Of course you do. Here is a freelance way for you to express that.

Costumes: Here's the good part. List all the costumes you want listed here. We here at SAC prefer Video Game and Anime based costumes. All those costumes that don't fall under either category may not get posted and definitely not listed on the Costume Index. Be sure to have the name of the costume so you are easily identified. And do try to spell it -correctly-, cos we don't have an Anime Spell Check.

Series: We can't begin to tell you how important this is. Can't tell you how many times we've seen. "Where is that costume from?" So to combat that, please fill that in. We've made a big long scroll list of titles to choose from, but if it's not there, just type it in the corresponding box!

Pictures: Please have some ready when you submit your application. Your application may get placed on hold without any pictures to post. However, take some time to get some GOOD pictures. You don't want people to see shabby pictures of yourself do you? SAC reserves the right not to post absolutely horrible/inappropriate/poorly exposed/photography 101 nightmare cosplay pictures. Just take some extra time to research that perfect picture URL.

What we mean by picture URL is that we are looking for something along the lines of http://www.site.com/cosplay/picture.jpg

There are a few scenarios. At this time we are only accepting 4 pictures MAX PER costume. JPG and GIF formats are accepted. JPG preferred. No BMP or other graphic formats supported at this time. 1. You own a website with your own pictures. Just submit us those picture URLs.

(Not recommended unless you want people to see the exact same pictures on your homepage and go "yay...." Might be better to do #2 or #3.)

2. If there is a picture of your costume on the net that does not belong to you, please obtain permission from that respective webmaster before sending us the web address (URL). Many pictures are privately owned and webmasters may not want them redistributed. But most times, if you ask them, they will allow you to send us the URL. We do not plan on getting permission for you.

3. You have a picture scanned on your harddrive, but not on the net. Simple. Make note of it in the submission form and send those pictures as attachments to [email protected].

4. You have hardcopy pictures of your cosplay, but no scanner. We have one, and you can send us a DUPLICATE of your picture via snail mail to be scanned. Please make sure you have your own set of pictures as we do not plan on returning any photos sent to us. We have a scanner and if this is the case, note that in your submission and we'll give you a snail mail address where you can mail your pictures to be scanned.

Take all the preceeding information and e-mail it to me and your set to go !. E-mail me if you have any questions or aol im me at "Magus of Enhasa" and ill gladly real time walk you through it.

This list will be amended should time see fit.
