This year's tour, "Gardens of Saco Bay" will be held on Saturday, June 16 from 9am to 3pm. We're very excited to again have found such an array of beautiful gardens in the Biddeford-Saco area. Four of the gardens are in Biddeford (near town) and six are in Saco. Roses are the focus, and should be at their peak. Also in bloom will be poppies, irises, and lupines. Nearly all of the gardens are new to the tour this year and are being seen by the public for the first time.. Come see what's growing in your neighborhood!
Included are a semi-formal English rose garden, a grandmother's garden filled with old-fashioned perennials, a garden showcasing modern sculpture, a poolside retreat, and a sumptuous tropical sanctuary.
Proceeds benefit the gardening reference collection and landscape fund for Dyer Library and the Saco Museum.
TICKETS are $12.00 and will be for sale soon at Dyer Library and other locations to be announced. Dyer Library is located at 371 Main St. (Rte. 1) in Saco.
TICKET PRE-SALES are offered now for a limited time. Tickets are sold in blocks of 10 for $100 and blocks of 5 for $55. Please phone 286-2711 if you would like to purchase ticket blocks.
