Job Description
CAMP DIRECTOR
REPORTS TO
SACK Executive Committee (S.E.C.)
SUPERVISES
All Senior & Junior Counselor Staff, volunteers and campers
BASIC FUNCTIONS
To effectively and smoothly run all camp operations in a harmonious and diligent manner; to competently supervise, aid, and evaluate the performance of all counselors and staff volunteers; to cope with all situations which may arise during camp operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*  Oversee all camp programs and activities, including Counselor Orientation week
*  Ensure the safety of all persons involved in the camp program
*  Evaluate the performance of all counselors and staff volunteers on a periodic basis
*  Conduct job interviews with SEC for all staff and volunteer candidates
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.  Must be at least 18 years of age
2.  Desires to work with children ages 6 to 13 years
3.  Experience in working with children or daycamp program desirable
4.  Able to delegate responsibilities and maintain discipline to the appropriate individuals
5.  Able to work harmoniously with others inside and outside the daycamp program
6.  Chinese speaking helpful, but not essential
Honorarium is $3,000 for 10 weeks beginning June 2, 2003
