A Little About SACK
The Summer Adventure Camp for Kids day camp program began in the summer of 1970 at the Chinese Congregational Church of San Francisco as a Monday through Friday, 8-hour a day, six week program.    One of the purposes of SACK was to offer a low cost summer program for children 6 to 12 years of age of low income families in the Chinatown and surrounding area.

Today, the purpose of SACK is still the same but we are now an eight week program that includes children 6 - 13 years of age and we offer an After SACK Program for parents who are not able to pick up their child at the prescribed time.

SACK  is divided into 4 two week sessions.  Each session has it's own theme and all activities are centered around these themes.  For example our general theme for this summer is
"We Can Make A Difference!"

Field trips are an important part of a summer time experience and SACK always has great field trips.  Some of our field trips have included
JELLY BELLY CANDY FACTORY, SAN JOSE DISCOVERY MUSEUM, BAY FISHING, OVERNIGHT CAMPING, EXPLORATORIUM, THE ZOO, COYOTE POINT, TILDEN PARK, and much more.

SACK provides lunch and snacks for all registered campers.

Registration to SACK is limited.  It is suggested that you apply early because the camp fills up quickly.  Acceptance is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
