What if GW were a shojo show? Title: Girl Talk Description: AU, het pairings ---------------------------------- Somewhere in an alternate universe, three school girls gathered together to eat their lunch. "Has Heero asked you out to the Christmas dance yet, Relena?" Hilde asked her friend. "No," said Relena with a sigh. "I don't even know if he's going to ask me out. Everybody seems to think that he will, so no one else is asking me. I might end up going to the dance by myself." She looked a little sad as she poked at her salad. "Oh, he'll ask for sure!" Hilde gave her a reassuing smile and a wink. "How about you Hilde?" said Relena, changing the subject. "Are you going with Duo?" "Yeah, but as friends." Hilde shrugged. "He still has no clue that I like him." "If you have feelings for Duo, you should tell him," said Dorothy. "Like you're one to talk!" said Hilde. "You've had a crush on Quatre since the fifth grade!" "I do not!" said Dorothy indignantly. "He's a sissy! And I don't like weak men!" She waved a celery stick for emphasis. "Quatre is not a sissy," said Relena. She took the celery stick from Dorothy, dipped it in some yogurt, and took a bite. "So, did he ask you to the dance?" "Yes," Dorothy scowled. "Like he does every year. And I declined, like I do every year. Its a tradition between our two families. He's only doing it because he feels duty-bound." "I don't know," said Hilde, "You might have some fun if you actually said yes. He's not bad looking, and he's got a really sweet personality too." "Hah!" Dorothy tossed her head. "I despise sweetness!" Relena frowned. "You're so extreme." "Well, what kind of guy do you like then?" said Hilde. "What would a man have to do to earn your love and respect?" "The man that earns my respect would have to be strong, and have a passion for greatness. He'll be the kind of man who's willing to take charge and change the world. He'd have to be incredible smart, and incredibly handsome, and of course, if I'm to going to be serious with him he'd have to be incredibly rich." "Oh my God, Dorothy," said Hilde. "Where are you going to find a guy like that?" Dorothy shrugged. "If I can't find the perfect man, I'd rather be alone." "I think I would just be happy with someone who was cute and funny and fun to be around," sighed Hilde. "Someone like Duo." "I think he likes you," said Relena. "No," said Hilde. "I'm just 'one of the guys' to him. He just likes doing goofy stuff with me. You're so lucky, Relena, to have a boyfriend like Heero." "Heero's not my boyfriend," said Relena. "Why does everyone think that we're together? He hardly talks to me." "But he LOVES you!" said Hilde. "Anyone can tell that he's crazy about you." "It doesn't feel like that to me," said Relena. "But he gave you those roses, and that poem." Hilde threw her arm up over her forehead and did a mock swoon. "That was SO romantic." "You don't even know that was him. For all we know, it could have been Ben the janitor." "Ben the janitor is illiterate," said Dorothy. "Well, maybe not Ben, but you know what I mean. It could have been anybody." Hilde smirked. "It was Heero, and you know it." Dorothy clasped her hands in front of her and sighed dramatically. "Oh, Heero! My secret love! Come and confess your hidden passion to me! I promise it won't be unrequited!" Hilde lowered her voice and spoke in a gruff imitation of Heero. "Relena, you are the light of my life, and the only thing of beauty in the world. " She wrapped her arms around Dorothy. "Marry me, love!" Then she and Dorothy both giggled. "Oh, stop it," said Relena. Somewhere in the same school, Heero, Duo and Quatre were shooting hoops. "Nice shot!" said Quatre, as Heero swished another basket. "Sweet!" said Duo. "Hn," said Heero. And that was about all they said to each other. ------------The End------------------
