Peter in the BB House

30 June 2002
Friday Night Antics

The housemates started doing some serious bonding over a couple of beers. The boys spoke about everything including their parents, ex-girlfriends, winning Big Brother and drugs - but it all started off with a chat about anger management.

Marty assumed Peter sought help after his parents deaths but, according to Peter, it was because, I put someone in hospital - because I almost killed somebody. The police were going to charge me. According to Pete, the man did not die and did not press charges. Hes since learned how to deal with his anger and negative emotions. I havent told anybody. Very, very fucking lucky. Since then, I dont even step on the other side of the boundary. That might jeopardize me losing Tom.

Peter then mimed out a number of substances he had tried before talking about a time he had taken a white powder starting with C. He also went on to say that his father had had problems with drugs and that he had contracted the disease Hepatitis C through drug use.

The next day, it seemed, there were some regrets about spilling the beans. Pete denied his confessions of the previous night, saying, I havent done any of that. I was just dreaming it, to which Marty replied, Same as me. Peter continued, Everything I said last night was just a dream. But anything I said last night is wrong and false and not true.

Despite the intimate confessions on Friday night, it seems that there are still some subjects the housemates wont discuss in front of the cameras. Following the conversation about drug use, Pete said, And Im saying too much just coz theres three of us its fucked! I cant wait to get out there and just start talking. The housemates then spoke about protecting people on the outside and not talking about subjects that embarrass them.

18 June 2002 (Day 72)
Pete said he was booted out of pre-school for being a terror.

17 June 2002 (Day 71)
The housemates are discussing holiday destinations, in particular their experiences in America. Pete says he found it really hard to drive on the other side of the road.

Jess and Pete talk about former flames. Jess asked Pete when he lost his. The girl he lost it to cheated on him, apparently happens all the time. He really felt for her and has trouble talking about it. She cheated on him with his friend. Another girl cheated on him when he was 18, he didn't really know the guy but now has serious trust issues.

Nathan Says
: Do you think Peter is playing the dead parent sympathy card? Or is he genuinely miserable?
You have stunned me with this question! Congratulations, my mouth is gaping open. I think that Peter hasn't fully recovered about his parents - that's why he talks about it so much. As to his misery, I don't know what's going on there, cos I get excited over toast.

2 June 2002 (Day 56)
Pete talks about his favourite kind of girl. He likes someone who wears trakkies at home and can beat him up. Mira asks him about Turkan and whether he would go out with her. He says 'no'. He says she was only a friend and he prefers girls who hold themselves differently.
Pete is still talking about the kind of girls he likes and he reiterates that he would not go out with Turkan. He likes girls who don't wear much make up but have a pretty face anyway.

18 May 2002 (Day 41)
Pete has just told the HMs about his experiences with an almost famous pop star, whose name even he cant remember.

29 April 2002 (Day 22)
Turk has decided to use me to take her frustrations out which was fine with me, she is a good friend.

I have been a little worried about Aaron he is starting to get upset and showing it; I think it's just that he is missing Emily.

The one thing that did not sit properly with me was Damian leaving. Over the last week before him leaving I did get to know him and realized he is a lot like my mates at home, and I found it easy to get on with him. He is a good bloke and over the last week, would have been good to have him around. I guess that just shows it takes time to get to know someone. (I feel like Doogie Howser).

28 April 2002 (Day 21)
Pete was feeling depressed yesterday because everyone else in the hosue has a character and he is just a "regular joe". He thinks there is nothing that defines him. Katrina tells him he's a divine person.

Nath and Pete discover that they have the same skill - they can write with both hands. Nath was forced to choose between right and left hand at school. Peter had to give up playing tennis because would change hands when playing.

26 April 2002 (Day 19)
Pete didn't want Damo to leave. He thinks Nathan, Jess and Sahra are big personalities but he's never had friends like them before. He has friends like Al but his biggest friend is of course,Turk.

Pete's shared some of his past dating history with Turkan. When he was 21, he dated a 28 year-old woman. He said he likes older women but that this one drove him crazy. He said he doesn't care about age and never asks.

Peter opens up to the other HMs about his parents, who both died a few years earlier. He is focussing specifically on his father who he admits was an alcoholic. He then moves on to his mother and the time when she found out she had cancer. He also talks about how hard it is to bring up his little brother, Tom, alone. He says his sister is his best friend and the strongest person he knows.

22 April 2002
Says Meg, "There is no greater man on the planet." Single
