| 8 May 2002 Kieran Bolts Ahead By Kate Meikle WITHIN 24-hours of entering the house, intruder Kieran has emerged as a favourite to take the $250,000 prize, an expert tipster has told NEWS.com.au. CentreBet's Gerard Daffy has placed the Avon products manager from Sydney equal favourite with Marty and Nathan to tough it out to the end. "With the footage that I've seen when the intruders were on, he always looked like a likely candidate to at least be around for a while because he's loud, he's out there and I think theyre the sort of people that are going to be in it for the long haul," he said. "People tend to like the Nathans and the Sara-Maries because they've got a lot to offer and they're loud, and whether you agree with the way they conduct themselves or not, they're actually popular. "It's more entertaining watching them than it is half a dozen people sitting around, moping, threatening to leave, dirt-bagging other people. You can only put up with so much of that." Mr Daffy said Turkan did herself no favours threatening to leave the house last night. "I don't think anybody in their right mind would suggest for one minute that she's going to win," he said. Meanwhile, betting on the series has been fierce with punters waging $25,000 in the first week. Mr Daffy said the amount represented serious interest since bets were being kept low to prevent people ringing the vote line to improve their odds.
