Katrina's Out of the House

How do you feel now that youre out?
Last week everyone was so down after the eviction and this time I get all the party afterwards and dont get all the down. And there is no food in there right now. Weve run out of rice, weve run out of pasta. I think there are potatoes and I think theres some tinned tomatoes.

Are you glad you got the extra week in the house?
Im so glad I got that extra week. We were saying what would of happened if Damo had stayed and I had gone, especially with that looming task. There is no food in there right now. Im petty proud of that thirty hour stint of looming.

How do you feel about yourself? Did you feel better after time went on?
Theres been less crying episodes and Ive been feeling a lot better about myself just this week. After the initial shock of getting nominated twice, and not handling it well that night, I think the next day was a lot better and Ive been getting better and better this week. I think having the task to throw myself into, and show that I am worthwhile and have a place in the group, was good.

I was upset when I first got nominated because I thought I had so much further to go but I came to the realistaion that you can start the process but its not going to stop the minute you leave you will continue with the process. And I got enough to continue the process. And If I was there for another week I would have found out more but

Theres been a few things in the press and one of them has been the photographs. Were you expecting them to come out when you went into Big Brother?
I wasnt expecting it but I was absolutely prepared for it. I warned the Producers before I went in. I said this is something thats in my past that might come out. I dont have a major problem with them anymore because it happened a couple of years ago and its not who I am anymore and I wouldnt do it again. It wasnt a very smart decision and its come back to haunt me but I live with no regrets so

Was that the deep, dark past you kept mentioning?
It could be.

What was your motivation for going on Big Brother?
Two reasons were that I wanted to try the social experiment - Ive read 1984 and I know the idea of constantly being watched and being with people you dont know and I just wanted to experience that - and just a little bit of self exploration. Youve got only two books and no TV and no music because I love music - and not your usual support structure. Just seeing how you handle yourself. And that really worked. I got a lot out of it.

What happened between you and Peter on Friday night?
We were just hugging it was nothing else. I recall nothing other than hugging. We were just being close to each other.

How do you feel about Pete nominating you?
I was a little surprised at Pete but its not a big deal. I dont take it personally because I have to nominate someone and I think Pete gets along with just about everybody. And I did stick out in the house. I did feel like I was a little different and that I have a different outside life to these people.

Who do you think will win?
Im thinking Pete. Hes just an all round good aussie bloke.
