And while those pictures are about to resurface in next month's Picture magazine, Spike has another theory on what skeletons lurk in Katrina's closet. It appears the 21-year-old is a member of the Victorian Young Liberals and according to the folk at online media news service Crikey.com she could owe Sunday night's reprieve to a Young Liberal "Save Katrina" campaign. Crikey.com intercepted the following email, which originated in Victoria, distributed by NSW Young Liberal staffer Belinda Lawton last Thursday. The email read: "We cannot let Katrina, the only YL ever to make the starry heights of Big Brother, suffer the humiliation of being the next Andy voted out of the house by viewers around the nation in the first eviction! Thankfully, the collective voices of the NSW YLs can make a difference. This is the ultimate save a Young Liberal from social Siberia. All you need to do is follow the instructions below." The instructions directed YLs to vote off fellow housemate Turkan. However the campaign was unsuccessful and it was Damian who ended up getting the boot. Lawton could not be contacted, while a spokesman for the Victoria Young Liberals brusquely countered our inquiries with: "What people do in their private capacity is a matter for them." |
