| 17 December 2001 It's All Gloss for Jemma the Celebrity By Amy Freeborn, The Advertiser A WHIRLWIND trip to Adelaide for an appearance at bumpngrind and a tour of the Barossa Valley before jetting off for other commitments is all in a weekend's work for Jemma Gawned. The girl made famous for showering in her underwear and her obsession with lip gloss on Big Brother is no longer a humble hair and make-up artist. Instead her days and nights are filled with celebrity appearances, television and radio commitments and not much time for anything else. "Up until the end of January it's pretty full on with appearances," she said. That's on top of the production of her signature lip gloss which is about to be released, a gig as a columnist in a girly mag as well as further television host spots. "I still can't really get my head around it," she said of her fame from the popular reality TV show. "When I came out I was really missing my life but now I realise I've just moved on to something new and different." But trips such as this one to Adelaide are some of the perks she readily accepts.
