| 28 May 2002 Brodie Shoots From Lip SMOOTH-as-silk Brodie, is not known for beating around the bush, and he got straight to the point after his eviction from the Big Brother house on Sunday night. The 24-year-old Melbourne student was not shy in sharing his opinions of the housemates. The verdict? Strategy is the name of the game. "Everyone talks about how genuine they are, and that sort of thing, but there's so much shallowness, it's a classic," Brodie said. Brodie formed a close friendship with group favourite Nathan during his early days in the house, but the friendship faded fast. The evictee said Nathan's dominant personality was taxing to be around. "Nathan has an unbelievable energetic front - he took me under his wing, the very first day I walked in there, and I thought 'this is fantastic'," Brodie said. "Straight away, you can tell, this is the guy who's almost running the house . . . but being such a dominant person - I was waiting for him to switch off, and he doesn't. "He loves being in everything, if he's not, he cracks up. Had it come up next week, I would have voted for him -simple as that." A day after being turfed from the house, "rock star" Brodie is hoping to move on to better things. "I've done 30 interviews this morning on two hours sleep and they've all been great," he said. "So maybe I have a future in this industry." Not that he's hoping for a career in Neighbours like Blair McDonough or a spread in Ralph like ex-flame Shannon Cleary. "I'm just going to take whatever comes my way," he said. "If you hope for these sorts of things you might be disappointed if they don't happen." Article from Daily Telegraph |
