Stepping in the mud at the river's bank, Sabyien walked the thin line between 
the afterlife, and the time stream. He sighed, he would have to be reborn again 
in different world. Saby didn't regret having lost the Sword. "As long as Ryo 
lives..."
Over the sound of the rushing river, he heard his name called. Sabyien dismissed 
it. It could have been a spirit traveling along the river. Tired and wary, the 
Guardian looked forward to resting in Exodus before reincarnating again.
"Sabyien."
That voice again, stronger this time. Who could? Puzzled, Sabyien turned around. 
He put a hand to cover his mouth in shock, "...Ryo?"
"Sabyien!"
Ryo ran along the river bank, his feet carefully stepping in Saby's foot prints. 
"Sabyien wait!"
Saby watched the boy come closer, with the power of the sword, Ryo could do 
anything even follow him to this timeless realm between life and death?
"Ryo, What are you doing here?" Saby asked as Ryo came closer. "I sacrificed 
everything so that you might live!"
Ryo shook his head. "I told you...I didn't want to be without you." he began to 
run into the water he wrapped his arms around him, Saby looked down putting his 
arms around Ryo.
"Thank you." Sabyien whispered, pulling Ryo to him. "Let's go back the others 
are worried."
Ryo was quiet for a moment he then stepped back "I can't go back. I.... killed 
myself..."
Sabyien looked at the boy shock written across his face. "You.....?"
Ryo nodded sadly. "I jumped off the bridge. I didn't want to be without you."
"......."
Sabyien wanted to yell at him for doing something so stupid, he bit his lip,
"Ryo, you have to go back...."
"I don't want to."
Sabyien sighed and pulled Ryo to him, "Ryo...You can't follow me, I'm due in at 
Exodus Cathedral."
"Why can't I go with you?"
"Mortal-souls cannot enter...I.." He stopped talking the water from the river 
Styx had risen, the water was up to his hips.
Sabyien smiled to himself. "Let's get out of this river, If your not going to go 
back...I want to enjoy my time left there with you."
They stepped up to the bank, Sabyien pulled off the cloak from around his 
shoulders and spread it out in the grass.
Ryo sat next to him, "I'm sorry..."
"Its alright..." He smiled and seated Ryo in his lap holding him. "It's 
alright."
"Saby can I please go with you?" the boy whispered, fearing to be alone.
"No." Sabyien shook his head gently. "This isn't your place, you don't belong in 
this realm."
"Oh..." Ryo sounded crestfallen, he cuddled against Sabyien not wanting to ever 
say good bye. He swallowed. "Saby... I'm scared, where am I going to go? My body 
is gone...probably at the bottom of the river. I can't go back."
"Shhh Ryo don't worry. It will be aright." he tilted the youth's face up until 
they were looking eye to eye face to face. He kissed him. Ryo moaned quietly 
opening him mouth and letting Sabyien's tongue in, the two gently twisted 
together. Ryo pulled away.
"Saby please... I..." he blushed. "I want you."
"Alright." SSabyien ran his fingers through the youngsters hair.
He lowered Ryo down, kissing as he did.
"Ryo, are you sure?"
"Yes."
Sabyien could hardly keep himself from smiling, he pressed his upper body on 
Ryo, his lips and tongue tasting the skin under the boy's ear.
Ryo closed his eyes, feeling Sabyien's teeth scrape against the sensitive areas.
A hot pressure was building up in his lower region, Saby pressed his hips tight 
against the other boy's body, letting out a gasping breath in Ryo's ear.
Saby pushed himself up away from Ryo looking down at him smiling. "Last change 
to back out Ryo. Once I start I'm to going to stop."
"I don't want you to stop." Ryo reached up and began to unbutton Sabyien's 
shirt. "If I didn't really want this I wouldn't have asked." Sabyien smiled and 
reached down caressing Ryo's body under his shirt, the youth moaned.

"Well well well." A female voice came from along the river bank Ryo and Sabyien 
looked over. Ryo gasped.
"Mother?" he asked his eyes wide. The woman smiled good naturedly,. his father 
behind her.
"Ryo..." his father looked at him regretfully. Then at Sabyien then shook his 
head turning his back to them, his mother continued.
"You've grown up." she knelt down looking at him.
"And he's a girl." his father glared over his shoulder.
"Oh hush up." the woman snapped, then smiled at her son. "What are you doing here?"
Ryo looked at them sadly sliding out from under saby. "I died... I killed myself."
She looked serious and saddened. "Why? What happened hunny?"
"Probably cause of him." the father chided looking at Sabyien over his shoulder.
"Alan. Stop."
"Yes dear." he sat down still keeping his back to them muttering. "My only son 
is a girl...perfect." at that she whacked him in the back of the head.
Sabyien shifted into a sitting position, his face turning a deep red. He should 
have expected that family members would come and meet the departed. Too soon.
"First you tried to take Evelyn from me and then my son?" Alan turned on Saby.
Sabyien stood to defend himself, but the woman shook her head. "Darling he 
wasn't courting me, he was protecting me. Don't you understand that now?" She 
smiled at Sabyien. "...not that I minded having the Guardian at my beck and 
call."
Alan gave a snort. Ryo winced."...mother..."
Saby pushed back a stand of hair, embarrassed, Michael had ordered the Guardian 
to watch over her while her physic powers developed. Being married to Alan, a 
Temphor knight, didn't stop her from developing a strong infatuation to him.
"My son, it's time to come with us." She said, "We are here to guide you to 
Heaven."
Ryo hung his head, he could feel Sabyien tense-up beside him.
"Ryo. You have to go with them.....or."
Or? He looked up at Saby.
"....Or you can go back. Back to earth...alive."
Ryo looked between Sabyien and his parents. "Heaven... or home..." he echoed. 
biting his lip. 'I can't go back... but I'm not ready for heaven...' he thought 
for a moment he looked up at his parents. "If I go back to earth..."
"You will get to live out the rest of your life...but at a cost." his mother 
started she touched a pendant around her neck. "But you won't remember anything 
that happened. All of this will have been a dream, none of it would have been 
real. All the people you've met will never know you exist either. Which means 
you'll loose All knowledge of Sabyien, Seth, Jenga or the others."
"And if I go to heaven?"
"You'll never see the others again." Alan pointed at Saby as if he were some 
mongrel dog. "So choose. but remember whatever you choose, it will be final. So 
don't try to wimp out on it you hear me kiddo?"
"I don't want to forget the others.... I'd like to see them again." the young 
boy said looking to the man who had been his guardian. "Saby... What should I 
do?"
"Do what you think is best." Sabyien sighed, putting his hands in his pockets.
after a few moments Ryo made up his mind. "I've decided." he took a deep breath. 
"I want to live with Saby, Seth and the others.... on earth." 
Ryo's parents nodded, "If that's what you chose....live well, my son, we'll meet 
again someday." They stepped back into the river.
Sabyien was looking down at his feet.
"Ryo, What you said.....I I can't go with you."
Ryo turned facing Sabyien. "I know.... Unless..." he touched the pendant around 
his neck he had inherited from his mother. "My mothers pendant.... She said she 
had been given it from her protector.... she said it was a wish bringer. could 
you use it? Or.... do you even want to?" he asked looking him in the eye 
awaiting his answer.
"I don't know....there's this part of me that wants to go with you. 
but....another part of me wants to...wants to...Ryo, If I don't go back to 
Exodus Cathedral, I have a duty to fore fill. My destiny is to find the 
Sacrosanct Sword in 1000 different dimensions....and and...."
He stopped, What was the use in trying to explain it to him?
"And you can't give up... I understand." he smiled, reaching up he took off the 
pendant. "Well anyway you keep this.... to remember me by." he put it around 
Saby's neck. "And it's to make up for the part of the sword you lost in here." 
he pointed to his chest and stepped back. "I should...you know get back the 
others are probably worried...and I still have some stuff to do I guess... 
Sephion's still loose...I have to take him down." he stepped back again "So 
don't worry about me...I'll be to busy to miss you for long..." he sniffed and 
wiped his eyes. "I lo- I'll miss you Saby... " he turned as if to walk away but 
held his ground.
Seth's words echoed in Sabyien's mind. 'He was smiling so you couldn't see him 
cry.'
Sabyien stepped forward quickly and put his arms around Ryo. "Ryo, I will never 
forget you, I promise..."He said in the boy's ear. "....I love you. I've always 
loved you and I'll keep on loving you, in every life I'll live, we'll meet 
again."
"Thank you." Ryo whispered,he turned in Sabyien's arms pushing against him. 
"Should we?"
For an answer, Sabyien pressed his lips to Ryo's
"We have some time, if your not rushing to go back" Saby smiled.
Ryo slipped this shirt off Sabyien's shoulders kissing him on his chest. 
dropping the shirt onto the ground. Sabyien pulled Ryo's off looking him over.he 
smiled down at the youth and caressed his pants front. He unbuttoned Ryo's pants 
looking his love in the eye.
"When you go back, don't forget me ok?"
"Never!" Ryo shook his head Saby smiled and undressed himself Ryo's eyes
slid over him hungrily. His muscular build, the way his log dark hair hung
around him, the smug look on his face, everything about Sabyien turned Ryo on, 
he quickly undressed and rushed foreword to embrace him again then tripped over
his pants and landed face first in Saby's groin knocking both of them over,
Ryo quickly got up blushing. "Sorry."
"Well If you want to start there." Saby spread his legs smiling. "Do it Ryo."
His face burning red, Ryo gently put his lips upon Saby. He didn't
know what he should do so he licked at the hardened length, Sabyien
moaned, Ryo felt more confident and began to suck upon him with
greater force. The elder reached down gabbing hold of the youth.
Ryo flicked his tongue across the head of Saby's cock making the

tongue. "...My turn." He automatically translated.
He pulled Ryo closer and bent over him, flicking his tongue over
one of ryo's pink nipples. The boy arched his back as Saby sucked
the other hand went up to roll the other hard nub between his
knuckles.  Teeth gently bit and scraped until Ryo whimpered.
Ryo closed his eyes "Please Saby...."He moaned, he took a breath.
every one of Saby's touches sending warm shocks through his body.
his body ached with a nameless need.
Sabyien let go, his hands stroking lightly over the warm skin, He
kissed Ryo's shoulder as one hand closed around the head of Ryo's
throbbing member. The boy's body tensed and tightened as the hand
gently squeezed, "Saby...." Ryo pushed his hips into Sabyien's hand.
The guardian began to slide his hand along the shaft.
the guardian smiled as he pulled back watching the Ex-saint write
in pleasure. He gently caressed the boys soft skin along him, he
bet kissing the body, starting at his neck and working his way down
and gently flicked his tounge across Ryo's hips just under his
navel. The boy gasped for breath balling his fists around the
strands of long grass on the riverbank. Ryo tipped back his head and

He could tell when Ryo was nearing his peak, he'd slow until Ryo's
cries stilled. Kissing the tip of Ryo's head. He ran his tongue over

Panting, Ryo raised his head and watched as the Guardian slipped his
lips over the tip sucking gently, he knew that Ryo could come
anytime now, he hoped that the boy would hold out a little longer.
He lowered his head farther, taking as much of him as he could,  he

Sabyien's eyes met Ryo's and he moaned deeply sending vibrations through

"Thank you." he whispered, Sabyien put his arms around him holding him
tight never wanting to let go.
"Don't think we're done yet." Sabyien chuckled, kissing the youth.
His hand moved down. Past the spent member, fingers probing,
searching.
The boy arched his back expectantly knowing what he was after, he
let out a moan as the elder began to stretch his hole, with first
one finger than a second and finally his third. The elder leaned in
and breathed seductively in his ear. "Are you ready?" he asked his
voice deep.

The guardian pushed Ryo's legs apart as he slowly pushed him self

Ryo's breath came in shaky gasps.  Sabyien was bent over him, silky
hair falling onto him. The sounds from his throat.

onto him his fingernails dug into Sabyien's back drawing small amounts

He heard Ryo crying out The sound of it was driving him closer to
his peak, he thrust deeper....felt the boy tighten around him as he
finally released....
The boy climaxed his seed coated both of their stomachs. They both were
 gasping for breath. Slowly Sabyien pulled out and lay down beside him,
 holding him tightly. "I love you." They kissed again, then they fell
 asleep in each others arms. 

Sabyien slept, contented and for filled. His dreams were vague....and
at the edge of his mind a voice was calling to him.  Annoyed at the
intrusion, Sabyien frowned in his sleep 'Let me sleep a little while

But he blinked awake, Sabyien  looked at the sleeping boy in his
arms. He smiled, but he knew that this wouldn't last long.
The urge, the instinct to return to Exodus was stronger now, his
smile faded.
Sabyien held Ryo for a while longer forcing down the urge with the
equally great one to stay. Ryo moaned in his arms opening his eyes
"Saby?" he asked quietly.
"Ryo?" he looked down.
"What time is it?"
"I don't know." he pulled the boy's shed time device and looked at
it. "After three."
"Saby I'm sorry to love you and run but I should go back." he slowly
stood. "They're gonna need me to get back and you have to go to
Exodus." he began to get dressed
"Ryo.... I will come back to you."
"I know. And if we don't go we can't come back to each other now can
we?" he asked, Sabyien nodded, understanding the logic.
Once they had redressed Saby put his arms around Ryo kissing him.
"Now go." he turned and waded into the water the youth stood on the
banks waving to him as he made his way across. Sabyien smiled looking
over his shoulder he headed for the Cathedral. Ryo turned going back
the way he had come. back to the land of the living.



Inside the cathedral sabyien approached the altar where a man stood
with his back to him. "I have returned." his voice echoing in the
empty hall.
"You didn't get it" the man's voice was despondent, he turned to
face Sabyien.  Deep green eyes fell onto the Guardian's face.
Sabyien lowered his face. "I let it go, Sorren..." The dam holding
back the emotions was weakening, his voice shook. "....I had to...I
had to."  the tears of exguastion and anguish burned in his eyes.
Sorren waited, he was the caretaker of Exodus. He had observed
Sabyien's return again and again after every failed mission, what
Sabyien was going through now would pass after spending some time in
Exodus. When Saby's knees gave out from under him Sorren rushed
forward and caught him. "Why...why did I.." He sobbed into the older
man's shoulder.
Sorren patted Sabyien soothingly, "It will be all right,"
While Sorren continued to comfort his charge. Sabyien steeled his
heart. 'Next time....next time for sure...'



Seth stood looking over the dark water. The others had tried to get
him to into hiding but nothing would move the vampire from his place
at the broken rail.
The temphors had transformed the battle site into the scene of a car
accident. Nobody didn't seem to want to question the mysterious man
that was nearby.
The Immortal looked up the sky, it had lightened to a bright day. He
sighed. "I suppose I should..." a splash from below. He glanced down
briefly....then looked again.
Gabriel was watching him from the outdoor cafe. he just couldn't
let Seth be by himself at this time. Sipping his coffee, he looked
up just in time to see the Vampire jump off the bridge. "Seth!" He
jumped up and ran to look over the edge.  He saw nothing...."Where?"
The Vampire broke the surface of the water, a dark-haired boy in his arms.
The boy choked spitting out the water. Seth moved towards the shore holding
him tightly, he lay Ryo on the shore checking his vitals. "Please be
alright..." he begged he felt Ryo's life force struggling, he bent over
him and tried to draw out the water making the boy spit up.
"Where?" he asked sounding far away.
"Your back." Seth replied, pulling him close. "Thank God, your alive..."
