Goku is the main charecter of Dragonball, most of Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT. He is a kind hearted warrior, despite his saiyan heritage. Sometimes Goku isn't the smartest monkey in the barrel, but this adds the humor to him. Although Goku has his share of cool moments, he also has his share of being absolutely terrible. In the movie World's Strongest, he was a real bad-ass, marchin in like he owned the place and basically telling any who opposed him: bring it on!! But in the movie Cooler's Revenge....horrible. He basically all: hug the trees and kiss the animals. He went berserk over a bird dying. Despite his ups and downs, Goku remains a favorite of many people, and a good guy at heart.
