Episode 9 starts off with everyone at Shinji's school talking about Asuka. When Shinji and Asuka go out to fight an angel in the episode, Asuka wants to go solo and shows off. She slices the angel in half, but it turns into two angels, and embaraces the evas. Shinji and Asuka have to live together as training for the fight against it, which will take a perfectly syncronized attack on the core of both angels at once. They hate the idea, but when Misato opts to change the operation for Rei instead, Asuka can't stand it, and they do just fine. They beat the angel, but start arguing afterwards right away. This episode, again, was pretty cool. Nothing extraordinary, but one you can whatch over and over again.
