This episode didn't have any action in it, but was more of a drama episode. Shinji running away and giving himself time to think. He talked to one of his school friends, and later finally returned. Misato asked him about piloting his eva, and he very un-enthusiastically accepted. Misato yelled at him for having such an attitude toward it, and Shinji left Nerv. At the end of the episode, Misato finally realised that it was just Shinji's nature and that he couldn't let others know how he felt in any other way. So this was a nice, quiet episode, to turn the series around again.
