The 11th episode of Evangelion started out with some of the NERV employees getting their laundrey done, and getting on the subway to find the assisstant commander. When the power goes out at NERV, it is expected that the backup power will switch back on, but all the power seems to be gone, including the backup power. When an angel starts heading toward NERV, it looks like some serious trouble, as they don't have any power to prepare the Eva's. They have to do it by hand, and they wait for the pilots to show up. They are crawling through ventilation ducts and finally end up at NERV. They are inserted into the Eva's manually, and head out to fight. The angel is located above one of the main hydrolics systems, and is dropping acid down to melt everything. The Eva's are pretty much stuck, but Asuka gets an idea. She blacks off the tunnel, stopping the acid with unit 02, while Rei goes to the bottom where they dropped their weapons, and throws Shinji the rifle. Asuka gets out of the way, and Shinji opens fire, killing the angel. Again, a cool episode, but nothing any more special. The series is still pretty steady, not getting into the more serious close to the end stuff you see in anime's like 08th ms team. I sill have 15 episodes left though, so i'm sure it'll pick up soon.
