| I Want To Go Home |
| I am off to fight evil. I will return glorious and brave. I will ward off the enemy unafraid. I will see theis war through, and honor our flag. I will return to you, happy and true. The sun is hot, the ground dry. Hot desert sand whips in the air. There are no woods, there is no creek. Schools are silent, the children afraid to sleep. I see friends a fallen' I hear my leader callin' I take cover. Behind sandbags and barb wire. I want to go home. I want to leave this hell. I want to go home. Too much bloodshed, too many dead. Children callin' mothers fallin' I want to go home. Others soldiers killed more than I. A man cries, no older than I. He bleeds then falls. My heart pounds, as I fire using rounds. I want to go home. In the smoke ridden sky, war planes glide. I hit the dirt as missles come flying. I scream, the pain burning my leg. I manage to stand, look over the waste land. I want to go home. For I am all alone. Here where my battion sacrificed it all, in a last stand. I want to go home. Whipblade 1998 re-vampt 2003 |
