| 342 neighbors surrounding Sabino Springs filed protest letters with Pima County in opposition to increased grading in Sabino Estates, as shown below. Sabino Estates is the highest private land on the mountainside and is very visible in the surrounding neighborhoods. (Sabino Estates is even clearly visible from over five miles away when traveling on roads such as Houghton or Tanque Verde.) An additional 87 residents of Sabino Springs filed protest letters bringing the total number of protest letters filed to 429. (The Tanque Verde Valley Association and Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection also filed letters of opposition to the proposed increased grading.) |
