Information About Admissions

The academic year at Hamdard Public School commences from 1st April and would conclude in the last week of March the following year. Admission forms will be available in February/March while admission tests are to be held in March/April. Admission will not be granted unless the applicant has cleared the admission test.

The assessment of the student's progress is a continuous process. Promotion of a student to the next class will depend upon his/her performance in the tests taken from time to time, the terminal examination and the final examination. Children of class I ro V must obtain at least 40% in the major subjects i.e. (Urdu, Maths, English and Science) and 40% as an aggregate in order to be promoted to the next class. Children from class VI to VII must obtain 40% marks in EVERY subject in the annual examination in order to be promoted to the next class. In class VIII a student must not only pass in all the subjects but also score an aggregate of 60% in order to be promoted to the next class. The academic year is divided into two terms. The first term will run from April to September and the second from October to March.

One month's notice is required if the parents wish to withdraw their child from the School. The administrator may expel a student for any of the following reasons:

1. Indiscipline
2. Lack of academic progress.
3. Frequent absence from the school.
