Billy

Billy's breed is an Anglo Nubian. Anglo Nubians were developed in England by crossing Bristish goats with bucks of African and Indian origin. The Anglo Nubian is an all-purpose goat, useful for meat, milk and hide production. As it is best suited of the dairy goat breeds to hot conditions, the Anglo Nubian has been used in grading-up programs in many tropical countries to increase milk and meat production of local breeds.

Billy is extremely territorial and possessive of his mate. He enjoys fighting with my brother-in-law, sneaking off to the orchard for a treat of fruit tree bark and beating up on old trees. He has fathered 6 children with the Mama Goat.

Billy was sold to another farmer along with all the other goats after Vesuvius was killed. It was very difficult to continue each day with the worry that are our irresponsible neighbor was not minding his dogs. My dad finally said he would rather not know his goats fate than to watch another suffer and die.
