Sample Spread

When doing any spread, you must first identify the person making the quierie(Q) by selecting a face card that is suited to them using the following list:

Hearts
Of fair complexion. Stainless character. Ex: Aristocrats or clergymen

Diamonds
Of medium complexion. Thrifty and dependable. Equable temperment. Ex:Farmers or craftsmen.

Clubs
Of dark complexion. Frank and open disposition. Hard workers. Ex: Businessmen

Spades
Somber. A Leader. Ex: Soldiers or Politicians

After choosing the face card to represent the person, lay it down on the table in the center facing Q. Shuffle the cards and give them to the Q. Tell them to put all their thoughts, dreams and wishes into the cards. Then tell Q to cut the cards into three piles. Put the third pile on top, then the original, then the last pile.

Choose a spread and "deal" the cards out appropriately. Interpret the cards using the representations provided on the previous pages.

Sample Layout

This layout is called the Wheel of Fortune, which is familiar to those who use Tarot Decks.

Step 1. Deal the cards in this order while saying the quote below:

                         5 1 6
                         3 Q 4
                         7 2 8
                               9 Discard

"Three above you, Three below you, Three behind you, Three before you, Three for house and home, Three for hopes and fears, Three for what you don't expect, Three for what you do expect, and Three for what is sure to come to pass."

Step 2. Turn the cards upwards, pile by pile, and interpret what you see using the table below:

1-represents both blessings an evils experienced at present; material, psycological and spiritual

2-good and bad things that one is responsible for oneself. All that is under control.

3-joyful and sad times of the past.

4-description of coming events in the near future.

5-description of how house and home are now and in the future.

6-hopes and fears described, confirmed or refuted.

7-good and bad news and turn of events to come.

8-clarification of vage thoughts and wishes/fears about the future.

9-final and (it is to be hoped) rousing preditction for both the near and distant future.

It is good to summarize the whole wheel into a narrative after interpreting each individual pile.

To clarify further, or if the Q has a specific question, take three cards from the discard pile at random for the answer.

Try it out on yourself! Remember to bless the cards first!!!
