On the young and fertile planet Earth, in the year 2063, history was made when man had their first encounter with an alien species. After that, it all changed for the infant human race. Fleets of starships were built and manned by the Eastern Coalition, a captain of one of these vessels, Fedmahn Kassad, was leading a long-range survey mission to the depths of unknown space. Warp speed was minimal, about warp 2 was reachable for long-term assignments, and the time necessary to cover the distance was astronomical. So they used cryo-genic stasis tubes to sleep away the long journey. However, when they awoke, to their horror, several hundred years had passed due to a malfunction in the system. They were far away from known space, apperently their navigation system was also damaged. The accident was later found out to be that dozens of small metorites had eroded away several key systems. They were starving, lost, and out of hope and broke protocol in the name of survival. They began raiding nearby ships and bases, even though their ships were outdated, they still had superior tactics and usually numbers. As time progressed, they added technologies, supplies, and even ships as their raidings continued. When they eventually found Earth (Federation) controlled space, they were not welcomed as returning heros, but instead criminals. They were boarded and attacked on numerous occassions. Finally they decided that the Federation was a threat to human ideals and thus they could not be a part of it, especially not prisoners. Thus the small fleet settled on an uncharted planet that they named New Terra, and forged an Empire of unparralleled potential, the EarthForce Empire. And began a struggle in the name of all humanity to uphold the principals, histories, and ideals that theyve preserved over the years. EarthForce would conquer the galaxy in the name of stability and protection of all mankind.... |
