MI’RAJ RASULULLAH(S) ASCENDS TO HEAVEN
One night , Rasulullaha (s) was awakened from his sleep by Angel Jibril (A) “ Allah has invited you to visit Heaven”, Jibril (A) told him.Jibril (A) first took Resulullah (S) to the Masjid al- Haram, that is ka’bah.There he gave him Buraq, a white horse with wings. Buraq was a creature of paradise.As fast as light, Rasulullah (S) rode Buraq to Masjid al Aqsa in Jerusalam.This masjid had been built handreds of years before by Prophet Sulaiman (A).Now all the Prophets had gathered there to offer Salat behind Rasulullah (S).Allah had appointed Muhammed (S) as leader a all the prophets.Next Rasulullah (S) was taken up to Heaven from a rock which was beside Masjid al Aqsa.Around the rock. This masjid is called the Dome of the rock.Jerusalem is secred from Muslims become of the Temple of Prophet Sulaiman (A) and the heavenlyJourney of Rasulullah (S).The journey of Resulullah (S) to heaven is called Mi’raj , or “going up”.In Heaven, Rasulullah (S) met all the Prophets. He saw the beauty of the gardens of parapise,Which Allah has promised to those who obey Him. He also saw the terrible sings of Hell, where evil people will go after death. Muhammad (S)ascended to the highest Heaven to meet Allah. No angel or human been had ever been there before, and no one else would ever go there. Allah raised Muhammad(S) higher then any other creature by bringing Him so near to Him. How much Allah loves and has blassed Muhammad(S), His last prophet (S)!
