| What would you call a 600cc "cruiser" that has the seat height of a garden tractor, the comfort of a kitchen chair and as quick as a Ninja? Cycle magazine 4/86 |

| ZL600 Kawasaki's middleweight power custom takes the basic Ninja 600 motor and shoehorns it into a long, low chassis aimed for boulevard duty. The 16-valve motor has been tuned for more midrange ower thru 2mm smaller carburetors, (30mm for the ZL) and subtle camshaft changes; The result is a claimed 74-horse, 592cc mill. The $3499 ZL offers a low 28 inch seat height, according to Kawasaki as well as a 427 pound dry weight. Eighteen inch wheels appear at both ends, the rear a 150/80. cycle Guide 3/87 | ||||||||||||||||
