a lake we drove past while going through Acadia Nat'l Park. isn't it gorgeous?
Sand Beach--I was sitting on a big rock a few yards from the edge of the beach when I took this. I thought the surf hitting the rocks a few feet from me was just really cool.
Otter Cliffs--yes, I was standing on rocks the same height as that cliff. Acadia is NOTa place for achrophobics (fear of heights)
The explorer who discovered these hills named them The Bubbles. Why? B/c "they reminded him of his fiancee's bosom".       Men.
on top of Cadillac Mtn., the highest point on Eastern seaboard. Also the first place in the U.S. to be hit by the rays of the rising sun. This rock kind of looked like a giant hand. What do you think?
Lighthouse at Bass Harbor--at the very tip of Mount Desert Island. My brother and my dad couldn't get out of the picture in time...
Photos I took while on vacation in Maine this past summer. Sorry if these take a few minutes or longer to download, it'll depend on your connection. Hold your cursor over the pictures to find out what they are.
ok, so i didn't take this one...my family and i went sea kayaking, and mine got stuck on a rock for a few minutes so i got soaked from the waist down (kayaking in wet shoes is not fun). anyhoo, when we got back i had my mom take this picture of me and our guide, matt. he's much yummier in person, but the photo isn't too bad
Another lake, between two hills. Those are lupins in the foreground. I'm incredibly proud of this picture. It's the best one I've ever taken.
