In the same style as already the first adventure did, the second continues: Three hundred years later, with a new ship and a new, quite different crew.

This time the Captain is not a woman hero and the first officer no logical-thinking Vulcan. Rather in reverse: Captain Picard is seriously, calmly and endeavored to be always fair. Commander Riker brings with its charm many woman hearts to melt and he is rather impulsive, although he can also be balanced.

Also the other members of the Enterprise crew are not completely what one would call 'normally'. We think only of Data, Worf or Wesley Crusher.

The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D is a ship of the Galaxy-class and was in duty from 2363 to 2371. She's got a crew with 1012 members on 42 decks (2x as long and 8x more space than on the Enterprise of the Constitution-class). After the attack of the Borg in 2367 she got a refit at McKinley-spacestation near earth. 2371 the warp core was destroyed of deserted Klingons. Though the under section could be parted from the upper one, the explosion was too heavy, so the section had to make an emergency landing on the planet Veridian III.
