Here naturally the discussion could already begin: "No, I find Babylon 5 much better " or "Starship Troopers is the greatest", but I would already stop there and would correct:

Star Trek is probably the most sophisticated prepared SF series of all times!

And with this record the opponents remain mute. Because nobody can deny that there are thousands of books, in which this imaginary world is described in the smallest detail. No detail seems to be omitted, is it by the history of Earth up to the history of the Vulcans, Klingons or Romulans.

30 years ago everything has begun with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 (until today nobody knows what this NCC really means, there are just speculations again and again over it; that is probably the only detail, that the makers of Star Trek forgot!):

The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 is a ship of the Constitution-class and was in work from 2221 to 2285 (64 years). She has a crew from 430 people (before 2260: 205 people before the refit). After five refits in 2285 she was distroyed in the Mutara-sector by James Kirk when she was threatened to be captured by the Klingons.
