ChristianityAwhile ago, middle school to be exact, I was saved. I stopped cussing, stopped stealing and stopped bad mouthing people. The change, however, stopped there. I met a guy, fellin love, got in engaged, graduated high school, became part of a church. That's when things changed. I was baptized and began to discover a whole new person in my life; Jesus. I fell in love with Him. One night I was laying in bed tears just pouring from my eyes, my body racked with sobs and pain in my chest that can only be described as a hot iron poker digging in ever so slowely {reason = I was fighting depression, had broken up with the guy I was engaged with and things seemed to go opposite of all the things that I wanted in life}. At this point I cried out to Him that I just didn't want to cry anymore. To please help me, because I knew He was the only one who could. Instantly, quicker than your eye blinks, the pain in my chest was gone, the tears stopped, my body was at rest and I slept the whole night peacefully and dreamlessly. I woke up refreshed and ready for the day as if the pain of the night never existed. He has opened doors of understanding for me and lifted veils of blind ignorance that I lived in. I see His truth in every person I've met and I know I have yet to meet. People search for unconditional love. Someone to love you no matter what you've done or not done. I see how people can't find it in other people and ge discouraged, depressed or downhearted. I'm telling you now, from my own experience, Jesus Christ is that person. It does not matter, He loves you and wants the best for you. After getting to know Him I know that it's true. More than anything else I want people to know Him, that He's more real and has more love for you than anyone ever has or ever will be. I've felt Him engulf me with love during my pain and it was something deeper than any man has ever given me. That is why Christianity is who I am and why He's first on my list. My Church My Friend in James Island Church My Buddies' Church in Spartanburg Family HistoryAs the title says, I'm pretty interested in my heritage/background. I used to have a website dedicated to my family and a page with the family tree. It has since been scrapped because I couldn't get very much cooperation from family members. Recently, I have been thinking about starting it back up again. *shrug* Who knows, time and Christ will tell. CatsWhat can I say? These little creatures, so perfectly made by God, made it into my heart ever since I laid on eyes on them. Can you blame me? Look at that face!
Kitten War Computers/FoodYeah, I realize, that the title of these interests kind of contradict each other. But the thing of it is, computers can distract me from food and {depending on the food} food can distract me from computers. So, I'll expand on each one. Computers: Mainly this interest consists of everything. I'm interested in coding, moding, building, repairing and using, computers. I am a big fan of The Screensavers, which unfortunately, was ripped off the air by G4. Stupid G4, stupid. So now I watch DL.tv and listen to This Week in Tech {TWIT}. To get a dose of the good 'ole boys. As far as Operating Systems. I'm usually pretty big on Linux. I haven't been able to really use Linux {a.k.a I haven't installed or tweeked, but have played on a tower that has it on there}. I do use some Linux programs like, GIMP and Firefox. I'm still debating using GAIM for chatting, because right now I'm using Trillian, but it's in the works. Like everybody else though I'm stuck with Windows. I'm at alot of places online. I have three blogs: one at Live Journal, one at My Space and I use the 360 Beta for Yahoo! In all of these I'm known as sleepybluekitty. Well, except for the Yahoo! 360 Beta. I've also got an account at You Tube {which is the only place that I've been shown that you can get TSS!}. I also draw a bit so I have an account at Deviant Art. Ok, that site is not always as bad as it sounds. Oh! I'm also into robotics, which isn't really computers, but then again, sort of is. Food/Chocolate: Generally speaking, I love all food. Well, except mushrooms, onions and mayonnaise. But, I would like them if there wasn't extenuating circumstances. Anyway, I think it is the 2nd greatest thing Jesus ever allowed on this Earth. What I really like to do is Bake. Who doesn't love cookies, right? =^_^= Pancakes and Lasagna are my favorite breakfast food. What about cereal? Cereal is a good snack that you can eat like M&M's or with yogurt {hey, don't cringe until you try it}. Favorite Lunch food is probably Asian, although I could go for something Italian. Dinner I like simple and lite, although I can't think of what that would be at the moment. Now; Chocolate is part of the heading because I love it so much, I believe it to be in a class by itself. I just love the stuff. It is the 1st greatest thing God ever created. My favorite chocolate is Peanut M&M's. And really chocolate goes on everything, well except for maybe pickles :p It's one of the foods that can distract me from computers. That and macaroni and cheese. That's just a beautiful combination in itself. Alton Brown: he's a nerdy cook, I love it! MusicAlright, so this had to be in here somewhere :p I don't know anybody that isn't interested in some sort of music or another. So I'll just basically be linking bands I like, internet radio sites I tune into and other music related pages. This little part here will be updated as I find more bands that I like and more pages that apply. What started it all; we used to live in Germany and that is basically what is on over there to watch. The first anime I ever saw was Galaxy Train 999. After we moved back to the states there was no anime on t.v. really, so I stopped watching it. Then in middle school I started having dreams about GT 999 and then started researching what it was I was dreaming about. I've been into anime ever since. I am now part of two online Christian Anime groups/messageboards called Anime Angels {which I help moderate} and Christian Anime Alliance {where I try to keep up the pace with the all the super posters :p} Anime = cartoons from Japan FurryBeen into this for about as long as I have anime. I just like anime better :p My favorite furry type of things to watch are: Beatrix Potter, Winnie the Pooh, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Samuari Pizza Cats {*dun, dun, dun* :p}, Space Monkeys {as much as I dislike monkeys, I liked this show, huh, go figure}, Pinky and the Brain, and that is all I can think of at the moment. I'm part of three Christian Furry places online; Unicorn and Gryphon, The Christian Furry Registry {which I am a moderator/helper of} and Furs for Christ.Furry = animals with human characteristics All the groups I mentioned can be found on my Fun Stuff page. |
