Cassette
The melody began.
A simple flute, its tones quiet but clear
A second, third, fourth join its strains
And clarinets begin to sing
Until a gentle woodwind chorus weaves
A story with its bell-like tones
Harmonies form, the brass joins in
Percussion adds drama and emotion
Until a glorious chorus swells
Filling the room with its roundness
Then we hit "pause" on the cassette player.
I hope the tape isn't damaged.
