Everyone's list of loved ones has to start off with the list of ones they loved first, the ones they'll love always, the ones who will never go away... no matter how hard you try! Thus, this page is dedicated to my family.

Interview with my Grandparents

Dad - Hey, everyone's got a dad, right? Here's mine! He was born in Connecticut and grew up in St. Louis as the oldest of 3 boys. He works for Procter and Gamble as an account executive, which meanshe gets to travel to Phoenix and Dallas a lot to sell grocery representatives Proctor and Gamble products. What that means to us is that hey - we get a lot of free food! Seriously - our house is like the Pringles capital of the world. Anyway, Dad is a major Cardinals fan and a sports fan in general. Football, baseball, basketball, golf, soccer - he's either watched it, coached it, or played it.

Mom - Mom is next, of course. Mom was born the youngest of 4 kids in Kansas City. She is technically classified as a "homemaker," but there is so much other stuff she does! I think she's even busier than if she had a paying career. She is the head of the Mill Iron D Homeowners Association, secretary for her bowling league, and one of the heads for the Park County Republican Central Committee. She's also on the SPPR committee at Deer Park United Methodist Church and on the Park County historical committee. On top of all this, she somehow manages to find time to homeschool Becky, keep the house looking really nice, bake scrumptious meals, and create amazing outfits on her sewing machine. (Look at my prom page - see that dress? Mom made that!) I know I don't thank you very much in person, Mom, but here's a tribute to you! You're awesome!

Donald (born December 9, 1984) - Every family needs a sort of "black sheep," and Donald seems to fill that niche appropiately in our family. He's smart, but his areas of expertise are more hands-on, unlike the rest of us. This means that sometimes he doesn't do as well in school as my parents expect him. Donald was my best friend up until I was about 10 or 11, and one of my worst enemies when I was between 13 and 16 or so. Right now, I would definitely classify him in the friend category. I love you, Don.

Becky (born October 30, 1987) - Becky and I have had a special bond since two things happened, the first being that I got out of the stage when torturing my little sister was fun (about 11 or so) and the second being that we realized we both love monkeys. We have been known to each other and the family as "Grease Monkeys" ever since then. My sister is a ton of fun - sometimes we'll get on the instant messanger and talk about absolutely nothing at all. True conversation:
Becky: Loo.
Me: Bum Bum Loo.
Becky: Loo Loo Bum Bum Bum!
Me: Loo! Loo Loo Loo Loo Bum Bum Bum Bum!
It's the truth, I promise. Becky is probably going to be an actress of some sort when she grows up - she's too bubbly to fit into a mundane role.

Scott (born July 3, 1991) - Scott is my youngest brother, and is probably the person in my family whom I'm closest to right now. Even though he's 9 years younger than me and is just in fourth grade, he is extremely smart and has many thoughtful questions, some of which adults might ask. He is extremely interested in astronomy, and has been his entire life. I can remember carrying him around as a baby and him being really excited to see the moon in the window. We joked then that he would be an astronaut, and that notion of a profession hasn't changed for him since then. Scotty is a sensitive boy, and I think sometimes our family forgets that. It's hard to be a kid in a family full of teenagers, because everyone expects you to act like an adult, but Scott (understandably) still acts like he's 9. He's often sad, unfortunately, and spends most of his time playing the Nintendo 64 to cheer up.
