After the tow bar disaster I drove home to Tahoe and borrowed
my buddy's car trailer. Promising myself that I'd take it very easy and careful
I hauled the trailer back to Buckhorn. I tied it down, check the trailer three
times and began the tow over the high Sierra. The whole way I reflected on what
'might' have happened. I decided that in the future I'd be using the trailer
or not towing at all. funny how seeing the car you're towing try to pass you
changes your perspective on the whole deal.
I could imagine the Saab tumbling a thousand feet into a ravine...I didn't need to see it for real. We took some high passes and stopped occasionally to rest the truck and enjoy the views. We had an easy tow all the way to Dayton Nevada.
