2002 Saab Owners Convention
Cincinatti Ohio
The 2002 Saab owners convention this year is at the Kings Island Resort just north of Cincinatti Ohio. Dates are August 2-4. Featured speaker is David E. Davis of Automobile magazine, and highlights include a swap meet, track day, Saturday night banquet, official Saab parts tent, tech sessions on all sorts of topics, old and new Saab concours and the raffle of an 89 900SPG. Saab dignitaries and legends such as Erik Carlsson, Bob Sinclair and others will also be in attendance. This one is CLOSE..don't miss it! It has been 40 years since Erik Carlsson won the British RAC Rally in a Saab 96, with co-driver Stuart Turner calling the turns. That winning car, a red 61 96, still exists and is driven daily by Eric Johnson in Northfield, MN, about an hour south of Minneapolis.
